Size Guide
Getting the size right matters more with adaptive clothing than with ordinary clothes. The person wearing it is often swollen, often cannot try things on comfortably, and often cannot easily be taken to a shop to exchange something. This page is written so you can measure at home in about two minutes and order once.
The one rule that matters most
If the wearer has had surgery in the last six weeks, order one size larger than their usual size. Post-surgical swelling is normal and can add two to four inches around a knee, hip or abdomen. A garment that fits perfectly on the day you measure may be uncomfortably tight a week later. Adaptive clothing is meant to be loose. Nothing about the design depends on a close fit.
How to measure
Use a soft measuring tape. If you do not have one, use a piece of string and then measure the string against a ruler. Measure over light clothing, not over a bandage or brace.
- Waist: around the narrowest part of the torso, usually just above the navel. Keep the tape level and do not pull it tight.
- Hip: around the fullest part of the hips and seat, with feet together.
- Bust: around the fullest part of the chest, with arms relaxed at the sides.
- Length: for trousers, from the natural waist down to the ankle bone. For kurtis, from the shoulder seam down to where you want the hem to sit.
If a measurement falls between two sizes, take the larger one.

Patient nighties
Our front-open patient nighties are available in a wider range than the rest of the catalogue, from S to 3XL, because they are the garment most often bought for someone whose size the buyer is unsure of. They are cut deliberately loose.
If you would like exact bust, waist and length measurements for a specific nighty size before ordering, message us on WhatsApp and we will send them the same day.
If nothing fits
We make custom sizes. If the wearer falls outside these ranges, needs an unusual length, or needs a combination we do not stock, message us on WhatsApp with the measurements. Made-to-measure garments ship in eight to ten days. Please note that custom and made-to-order garments are not returnable, so we will confirm the measurements with you before cutting.
